60-Minute Session:
● 10 min: Read a short passage or excerpt together aloud
● 20 min: Use comprehension questions to guide discussion around summary, character motivations and predictions
● 15 min: Introduce a literary element (e.g., symbolism, tone, or figurative language) and identify examples in the text
● 10 min: Student practices summarizing and analyzing the text in their own words
● 5 min: Review key insights and set one follow-up reading goal

Profile:

60-Minute Session:
